Partnership

Though many of us are rich in possessions and talents, we are greatly benefited by the spiritual riches of those who are currently ministering at the Amazing Grace School.  Getting involved with API and partnering with the work of the school allows us to be a part of the community that is working to equip and empower people to break the poverty cycle they are now trapped in.  Your involvement will allow you to share the resources and skills you’ve been given while receiving the gift of faith as you witness God providing for the students of Amazing Grace time and time again.  The relationships that you will make as you partner with the leaders and teachers serving in Ghana will challenge you and encourage you to put more and more of your life in the hands of Jesus and the plans he has for you.  The following are just some of the suggested methods to getting involved with API. 

Sponsorship

For a $1 a day you could sponsor a child’s tuition at the Amazing Grace School.  For $5 a day you could cover a beginning teacher’s salary.  You can do this individually or as a group.  Sunday School classes from churches in California have gotten together to do this in the past.  VBS ministries have also taken offerings to sponsor a child’s tuition for a year or contribute to a specific school improvement project.

Get Connected

Friends and financial partners of API will all receive the quarterly newsletter which will keep you updated on the current events surrounding the work of API and the Amazing Grace School.  There you will get to know what the current prayer needs are as well as the current school improvement projects we are working to accomplish.  You will read about how God is changing the lives of the students at the school as well as the staff and visiting partners who work there.   For more up-to-date prayer needs and issues facing the school join us on facebook.  Any breaking news, emergency financial needs, or serious prayer requests will be posted there first.

Involve your church

As mentioned in the Sponsorship paragraph, there are many ways for churches and fellowships to join together and support the work of API.  Board members of API and partners have done many things to spread the message and vision of this work.  From creating a bulletin board in the entry way where the newsletters can be displayed, encouraging Sunday School classes or Church VBS ministries to contribute financially, or talking in front or your church and fellowship about the vision, there are many ways to spread the message.   Some fellowships, such as the InterVarsity Fellowships from the Claremont Colleges, UCLA, USC, and the Altadena Baptist Church in California, have gone even further and have sent teams in the summer to work along side the Amazing Grace staff to impact the children for the sake of the kingdom of God.  Please contact us if you are interested in involving your fellowship or church in any way so we can support you with materials and information as well as keep you in our prayers.
